More about me - Jacqueline Palmer MA, Dip UKCP (reg), MBACPIf we were all to sit in a circle and confess our sins, we would laugh at each for lack of originality.

I did my diploma in counselling and psychotherapy at the Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy Education in Warwick Crescent, London W2. I adhere to the UK Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP) code of ethics with whom I am registered, and am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and psychotherapists (BACP). I am fully insured and my work is supervised, and I continue to attend workshops and seminars as part of my professional development.
My background is in the Arts, with an honours diploma in photography, an MA in film, and a background in writing poetry and short stories. In my writing and photography I was always intrigued by relationship, the desire and experience of being seen by others, and the blocks to intimacy and connection which I explore in my workshops. I had two late in life children with the help of fertility treatment.
I see private clients, and couples, and have also been a voluntary counsellor in the prison system. I am a member of the London Psychotherapy Network and welldoing.org, whose community of experienced therapists contribute interesting articles about psychotherapy and counselling, as well as answering frequently asked questions on various psychological therapies. I have completed three trainings with Pia Mellody of the Meadows Centre Arizona working with codependence and healing early wounds, in Inner Child, and Shame and Feeling Reduction workshops. I have done couples trainings with David Schnarch in Colorado and London, and a couples training at Revision. Click here to look at my recent articles.
