Sometimes we feel overwhelmed by life’s obstacles, and finding the right sort of help feels like an extra burden. Though friends and family may offer support, we often feel isolated and need someone who is trained to listen and not judge us, and for whom confidentiality is part of their contract. This is what psychotherapy can offer.

Talking through these problems in a safe space allows you to deal with the crisis, to heal past trauma and let go of ways of patterns that no longer serve you. You can then reconnect with your dreams and find a sense of purpose and meaning that may be missing in your life.

Which to choose
I offer short term counselling for 6/12 sessions, which can support you to address practical ways of coping with present difficulties. Psychotherapy is usually an open-ended process, allowing you to explore the impact of the past on the present, towards freedom, choice and change. An initial contract of six sessions is recommended, with a review in order to consider your commitment.

How I work
In a first consultation, we can discuss any questions you may have about the therapeutic process, My training is integrative and draws from several approaches, exploring and acknowledging the person from a humanistic perspective, considering the body, feelings and intellect as well as the spirit and soul which always searches for meaning and purpose.
